Enlightenment

As one’s consciousness elevates, there’s greater certainty of God and greater clarity of God and self. There’s also a better understanding of how the natural and the supernatural domains of creation are interwoven. Eventually, the metaphysical is recognized as more “real” than the physical. At this point, anxiety gives way to lasting inner peace.

Enlightened human beings have been touched by God. They perceive themselves, others, and the world with unfailing clarity. Because they are wholly in tune with divine reality, they live and die fearlessly. Master teachers have similar gifts, plus the ability to help people move forward in their spiritual journeys, to help them grow in love and faith.

At any given time, there are only a handful of enlightened teachers in the entire world. They might be found anywhere. Some are devoted to a particular faith tradition or spiritual philosophy, while others are not. But always, they teach lessons of love and kindness. The fortunate few who are merely in the presence of a Spirit-guided teacher will experience a heightened consciousness. And by practicing the lessons of a master teacher, followers can achieve incredible breakthroughs in awareness and self-realization.

Yet, of all the teachers from all the ages – of all the prophets, gurus, saints, and mystics throughout human history – God sent just one master teacher who was ordained to be a Savior as well. And the world was forever changed by his lessons of love and forgiveness, by his ministry of sacrifice and resurrection.

There’s a paradox within heightened consciousness. As humankind collectively achieves higher levels of awareness and self-understanding, God seems to be, at times, more distant than ever. Our developing minds produce a relentless stream of obstructive thoughts, and God’s very existence is doubted. Yet, once humanity emerges from this valley of disillusionment – after we vanquish our sense of separation and quiet our busy minds – we will grow exponentially closer to our Source. Ultimately, we shall connect with God in a way which was never before possible.
